As silently as she came
she will slip back into the nights
for she summoned her guide in her dream
and was given very helpful insight

the days of yesterday are far gone
history seemingly repeating itself
and wearing her to her bones

what more can she do
the promises all broken
words spoken now proven to be untrue
all because she is nothing but an empty shell

after much thought
the decision has now been made
actions louder then words
she will slip silently into the waters
never to be heard from again....

Some Political Views & Book Reviews...

Stuff to consider :

What was Bush really doing on 9/11?

Paul Krugman's column in the NYT: "This Isn't America"

"Medicare's Hidden Bonanza", Mother Jones Magazine

Thomas Friedman's Sunday column in the NYT: "Awakening To a Dream"

A great read:"The Birth of Venus" by Sarah Dunant.

Forget about that frigging war, open the windows for some almost-spring air,

get a cup of tea, turn off the 57-inch HDTV,

arrange your velvet cushions, invite your doggies to surround you,

and sit back to savour a terrific story. Not a bodice ripping romance,

but a good piece of historical fiction.
